Million Dollar Scissors

I am currently a nanny for two adorable children, with lots of energy! Everyday I go to work I come home with a smile. Kids really do say the funniest things! Anyways... last week Nathan and I were using scissors, and he accidentally got carried away and cut me on the arm. This was a total accident, but I took the scissors and put them away. He was really bummed out because he loves scissors! What 4 year old wouldn't, right? That night I went home and ordered some 39 cent safety scissors for him and his sister. Now I wouldn't have to worry about anyone getting cut or stabbed accidentally. So yesterday they arrived and were ready to use. I gave them to Nathan to try out.... he loves them! He cut paper for ever... triangles, circles, squares, and scraps of paper slowly formed a pile. He even talks to his scissors!!! Its so adorable! I over heard him today in his little voice "wow scissors you sure do a nifty job, and DON'T worry paper Mica said these are safety scissors, so they don't hurt." He also takes them everywhere he goes, until I ruin the fun and put them away... poor kid! I cant get over the fact that he loves his scissors soooo much! they were only 39 cents! The moral to this blog, instead of trying to find the best and most expensive toy... buy the CHEAPEST! they will like it just the same or more. :)
